How to Become a Dueltainer
Dueltainers are auditioned members who may appear in DTN videos, streams, tournaments, One Shot Showdown, Duelist League, future projects, website features, and other network productions.
Vouch System
An existing Dueltainer may vouch for someone who wants to audition. A vouch creates an audition opportunity—it does not automatically award the role.
The Audition
Staff reviews presentation, setup, format understanding, and whether the duel feels fun, clear, anime-inspired, and distinctly DTN.
Minimum Requirements
- Be 18 or older
- Be a member of the DTN Discord
- Own an official Duel Disk or a reasonable homemade full-field setup
- Have at least three Dueltainer Format-legal decks
- Have clear video and audio; a phone is acceptable
- Understand official Yu-Gi-Oh! rules and Dueltainer Format basics
Qualities That Stand Out
- Comfortable and engaging on camera
- Able to explain plays, decks, and rulings clearly
- Active in voice chats, game nights, tournaments, or other DTN activities
- Recognizable and supportive within the community
- Focused on entertaining, back-and-forth duels—not only winning as hard as possible
After the Audition
Passing earns the Dueltainer role. If you do not pass, you receive feedback and may audition again later. Annual Dueltainer Cup invitations are never guaranteed; performance, presence, and fit all matter.
Role Conduct
The role may be removed for poor conduct, misrepresenting DTN or its community, or repeated behavior that conflicts with what the network is trying to build.
