01

Singleton

You may play only one copy of each printed card name. Cards on the Exempt list may be played at up to three copies.

“Treated as” cards use the existing DTN printed-name interpretation, so cards such as A Legendary Ocean and Harpie Lady 1/2/3 can be played together.

Ban

Ban List

Banned cards cannot be included in a Dueltainer Format deck.

A-Tier

A-Tier Limit

A deck may include up to three A-Tier cards total. Singleton still applies unless a listed card is also Exempt.

B-Tier

B-Tier Limit

A deck may include up to five B-Tier cards total. The A-Tier and B-Tier allowances can be used together.

If an Exempt card is also tiered, every copy consumes a tier slot. Three copies of Destiny HERO – Malicious use three B-Tier slots.

05

TCG Cards & Proxies

Only TCG-legal cards may be used. OCG-only cards are not legal. Printed proxies are allowed when they include the card name, Attribute and Type, complete effect text, and ATK/DEF.

06

Normal Summon in Defense

A monster may be Normal Summoned in face-up Defense Position.

07

Current Card Text

Always use the latest official errata and current rulings for every card.

08

Forbidden Mechanics

Xyz, Link, and Pendulum are not used. There are no Pendulum Zones and no Extra Monster Zones.

09

No Side Deck

Side Decks are not used in Dueltainer Format.

10

Standard Foundation

Standard Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG rules apply unless a Dueltainer Format rule specifically changes them.
