Remote Discord competition

These expectations apply to every Dueltainer Network tournament unless an event post states an additional rule.

Before the Tournament

  • Use a deck that follows the current Dueltainer Format rules and submit it through the tournament's listed decklist and sign-up process.
  • Join the Tournament Lobby voice channel before the event begins. Every DTN tournament is a remote duel operated through the DTN Discord.
  • Contact a Judge or Staff member before continuing whenever a card effect, ruling, or interaction is disputed.

Attendance and Drops

  • Notify Staff immediately if you cannot attend or need to drop.
  • A no-show or unannounced drop may prevent entry into the next tournament because it disrupts pairings and event operations.
  • Remain available in the tournament Discord channels until your event run is complete or your drop is confirmed.

Round Timing and Delays

  • Rounds use the timer shown on the tournament post and website event page.
  • A match interruption lasting longer than five minutes may result in a round loss.
  • Repeated interruptions may result in removal from the current tournament.

Deck and Card Restrictions

  • Match Winner cards are not permitted in DTN tournaments. Victory Dragon is one example.
  • Do not inspect an opponent's submitted decklist during an active match, even when sign-up decklists are technically visible.
  • Use the Discord card-information bot or contact a Judge when you need current card text.

Camera and Visibility

  • Your deck, hand, field, dice rolls, coin flips, and every other random result must remain clearly visible on camera.
  • An off-camera roll, flip, cut, or unclear resolution may be requested again by the opponent.
  • Repeated visibility problems should be reported to a Judge immediately.

Shuffle and Top Cut Procedure

  • Shuffle fully on camera, perform your normal cut, place the deck down, and show empty hands.
  • Your opponent chooses how many cards move from the top to the bottom. Move them without taking the deck off camera, then draw.
  • Repeat the shuffle, cut, and opponent top cut after searching or returning cards to the deck, once the active effect sequence is finished.
  • After cutting, do not touch or reshuffle the deck before receiving the opponent's top-cut number. Doing so invalidates the cut and requires a redo.
Players are expected to hold each other accountable.

Ask for unclear or off-camera actions to be redone immediately. Call a Judge when the issue repeats or cannot be resolved cleanly.
